【Introduction Of JiangJin Middle School】

　JiangJin Middle School of ChongQing City,founded in 1906,become one of the key schools of SiChuan Province in 1953.After ChongQing become a mulicipality, the school was honored as one of the first key schools in ChongQing.It is located at the foot of the DingShan Hill,Western ChongQing,on the Yangtze River.

　With long revolutionary tradition and rich, solid cultural foundation, meticulous scholarship, simple and kind school spirits, the school has been well known in Sichuan and Chongqing areas for one century. The revolutionaries of the older generation such as Marshal Nie Rongzhen started their careers in the school. The famous masters such as Wu Fangji, the poet of the White Cottage gathered together in the campus. The motto “once pupils fragrance, Alma Mater glory” is the history portrayal of Jiangjin Middle School for one century.

　The schoolyard covers 300 mu, broad and grand with quiet and elegant surroundings. The school owns a complete set of multi-media school network, a AVTV teaching system, a rear service system of IC management, a standard playground with a 400-metre-long race track, a field ground, a football field, a volleyball ground and table tennis grounds. It also has a gym, a standard swimming pool, and first-class lab equipment for physics, chemistry and biology.
Now the school has 340 teaching and administrative staff members, among whom there are 3 special-grade teachers, 73 senior-grade teachers, 36 national-grade and city-grade subject leading teachers, 120 teachers who have completed the courses of the post-graduates. Its teaching quality reaches a new phase year by year. 98% of the students are admitted into colleges and universities every year, 10 of whom are even admitted into Tsinghua University and Peking University.

　The school carries out the Party’s education policy and pushes the quality education forward in all ways. School Arts Festival, sports meeting, summer camp and one-week science and technology activities once a year are especially characteristics. Since 1997, the school has been launching the activities of “East Wind Action by six schools of five places” connected with “ Learning from Nie Rongzhen, following the steps of Nie Rongzhen, creating new achievements as Nie Rongzhen and being successors to Nie Rongzhen”. “Nie Rongzhen Class” and “Bethune Squadron” issued by the Central Committee of CCYL have been passed down one grade after another. The school carries out school links with Miyakonojo City School in Japan, promoting common progress and development of the two cities.

　In order to adapt to the development of modern education, the school has undertaken 24 key science and research programs above city-grade, of which 10 nation-grade programs. 10 academic monographs are published. The teachers have published more than 230 research papers and over 150 kinds of school-based textbooks.
